Welcome to Poole Eyecare

Poole Eyecare has been apart of the Clover community for over 70 years. The practice traces its origins back to 1952 when Dr. Edgar Poole established Poole Optometric, and begin providing vision care to Clover and it’s surrounding areas.

In 1982, Dr. Edgar Poole's son Dr. Benjamin Poole joined the practice as an optometrist, continuing his father’s commitment to eye health. With Dr. Edgar Poole’s retirement in 1987, Dr. Benjamin Poole assumed the reins of Poole Optometric, continuing its growth. He opened a second practice in Kings Mountain, NC.

2023 was a milestone for Poole Eyecare when Dr. Benjamin Poole's son, Dr. Zachary Poole, an ophthalmologist and surgeon, joined the family business, adding surgical care to the practice. With his added expertise, the practice was renamed Poole Eyecare, upholding the legacy associated with the Poole name that has expanded 3 generations.
